I
have recently discovered the Toontastic
App! Toontastic is an app that works on Android phones/tablets and Apple
phones/ipads as well.
This
is an app that lets you create animated movies that are short. You can also
have the option of creating a series of videos with set templates.

The templates are:
1. A short story: beginning, middle,
ending.
2. A classic story: setup,
conflict, challenge, climax, resolution.
3. Science report: question,
hypothesis, experiment, results, conclusion.
Those will enable you,
as a teacher, to set an activity that works on enhancing and practicing
speaking in English, understanding the structure of stories and practice
presentation skills.

Guessing

Objectives:
Learning topics: animal vocabulary, body parts
vocabulary, Present Simple questions and short answers.

1. Write the following dialogue on the board:

"Guess the Animal"!

2. Demonstrate the dialogue with three students in
front of the class.
3. Tell Students to practice with a partner using
page 95 in the book "Our World".
4. Have students record the dialogue on Toontastic
and send it to you.
5. Present the videos on the board and have students
guess the animal while watching the video. You can also upload them to the
school website.
